My name is Samantha Maner and I am 16 years old.  I live and was born and raised in Johnston, Rhode Island. I am in my junior year at Johnston High School, were I play for the varsity team.   Besides getting a good education, basketball is my life and I have always wanted and dreamt of play college hoops, so I strongly believe I deserve this opportunity.  Since I was 8 years old I knew it was one of the gifts i was giving.  So I worked hard throughtout the years with my blood, sweat, and tears.  But it made me the player I am today and I am proud of that.  After high school, though I am not sure what college I will attend, but I am sure it will be out of state. I plan to study being a OBGYN because I love helping others and I also love kids.  So in the future I want to be a promising doctor and a world reknowed college basketball player.
